Combining exceptional craftsmanship with high technology
The first step in creating the Oyster Perpetual color series is spray painting, a process that must be carried out carefully in a controlled environment to avoid dust and other contaminants.
The brass plate at the base of the dial is gradually sprayed with six layers of lacquer to create a uniform and smooth surface. The final step is to apply a gloss lacquer and polish it, resulting in an exceptional shine and deep hue. The dial is then printed with different lettering and hand-set with hour markers and a crown. The flawless new dial is then assembled onto the movement during the watch assembly phase.

High corrosion resistance
Rolex uses Oystersteel forged steel watch cases. The Oystersteel developed by the brand is a type of 904L steel. This alloy is widely used in high-tech, aerospace, and chemical industries, and therefore naturally possesses high corrosion resistance.
Oyster steel is extremely durable and shines brilliantly after polishing, maintaining its beauty even in extreme environments.

Introduced in the late 1930s, this metal bracelet consists of three wide, flat links, making it extremely robust. It has remained the most widely used bracelet in the Oyster collection. All Oyster Perpetual watches feature an Oyster bracelet with an Oyster buckle.
